iPhone 5 – Coming Soon!

August 13th, 2011

Sooner is the news for a fire in one of the few manufacturing facilities that makes these gadgets for Apple has broken the supply chain a bit. Apple denies this of course saying that production in other facilities can be ramped up to make up for the lack of supplies but still it is a long shot.

It was initially leaked that a simpler version of the iPhone 4 was to be released with the new and improved iPhone 5 but that remains to be rumors. Supply is the main threat and as these gadgets become more powerful, they tend to need better materials(expensive) and more development to get the ball rolling.

Apple Rules

May 13th, 2011

Apple has kicked the behind of Blackberry again which has almost defaulted, due to dismal sales of course. Apple’s move to have users send in apps through their stores and other sources have allowed many people to not only maximize their gadgets but also enjoy them.
Following strict development guidelines publicized by the smartphone maker allows developers to make applications for use on the iPhone platform. But there is a threat rising from the open-source market for Android compatible phones are catching up. There is no contest that the iPhone is one of the best mobiles around(even threatening Nokia to some extent) combining the phone and most computing capabilities all in one package.

Nokia Forced to take up Arms

March 13th, 2011

In a move to boost sales and of course catch up to the battle they are obviously losing, Nokia has been in the process of developing and releasing phones based on both Mee-Go operating system and Sea Ray Windows platform. Call it desperation or business strategy the largest mobile phone maker in the world has had it sales slashed when the iPhone was released.

It may be a lost battle for in the smartphone market, being the first is key and Apple has done that in a big way indeed. Releasing the first and best fully-loaded smartphone was the way to go and they have succeeded in that area. Nokia on the other hand has been playing catch-up ever since the first iPhone was released, along with everybody else, using Apple’s example as basis for design and functionality.

Google’s entry into the mobile devices market via the Google Android operating system is a very clever idea. Google has managed to create a new OS that, although not directly competing with Microsoft’s top brands (Windows Mobile is really not getting the traction it wants for its proprietary mobile OS), is proving to be a threat to the top software company in the world. If you don’t believe it, then I’ll just point you to Google Docs. Now imagine the development of the Chrome OS that is currently being undertaken. Microsoft does have a reason to worry, Google’s come to play.
