Verizon is set to battle spam
June 1st, 2008Due to the spam text messages that advertise worthless products (and not to mention, illicit services) such as so-called growth hormone pills and bi-sexual blondes sent to Verizon customers early this month.
Unfortunately, some Verizon customers decided to take these offers up which promptly directed them to a site in Romania. According to cell phone companies, the best thing to do is to not delete the spam text messages and then immediately contact the technical department of your respective cell phone company and make a report.
Verizon explains that they have been taking steps to battle these spammers. They believe that text messaging has become very important in communicating and contacting public safety and emergency medical services. These text spams only impair the delivery of legitimate messages.
