If you want to increase the life span of your mobile phone and avoid the hassle of transferring or even losing your precious data, here are a few basic tips to help you out:
1. Invest in good cases
Cases guard your phone from falls and scratches, and in your case is they type that’s water resistant, then it also guards against water damage as well.
2. Don’t leave it anywhere.
You might be surprised at how many people leave their gadgets lying around. If you don’t want to lose it, keep it near you at all times.
3. Be conscious about where you bring it.
There are place where you can use it, and places where you can’t. Just because it’s “mobile” doesn’t mean that it’s meant to be used in the john. Or on the beach. really. You should know better.

Well, more of your health rather than your phone’s, for being one of our most used gadgets they are also the dirtiest so regular care and cleaning is in order. There can be so much dirt and grime on your phone that it can even cause some functions to, well malfunction. Keypads cease to function, the display dims and other keys seize up. Get a well used phone cleaned from time to time in the service center to remove any dirt that may find it’s way into the casing, reaching the internal electronics. The nooks and crannies are a favorite breeding ground for bacteria and viruses (cold virus and more). Though considered to be throw-away items due to their compact design, any failure is mostly sure to be sign of a need for a replacement.

Nokia’s got a great looking mobile phone coming out soon, and it’s called the N97, here’s a snippet of the review of it below:
So, what exactly do you get with the Nokia N97? The large touchscreen display is an obvious place to start – the 640 x 360 pixel display is the same resolution as the 5800, but the N97’s panel is larger at 3.5″. As with the 5800, this is a touch-sensitive widescreen unit, Nokia call this resolution “nHD” which we guess is “near HD”. It’s almost the same as the VGA resolution that we have seen in some rival devices, but the E90 manages a 4″ 800 x 352 non-touch screen, and the N810 is 800 x 400 pixels and 4.1″. Crucially though, the N97’s display does look to be better than the arch-rival Apple iPhone 3G. The N97 also lacks the TV tuner from the N96, and there’s no mention of an FM radio either.
More details and review here.

It is always best to observe proper manners in everything we do. The ubiquity of mobile phones nowadays have given rise to so many rude habits from its users. It is but fair to observe some courtesy so as to set a good example to others.
- DO NOT TEXT WHILE DRIVING
- When youre inside a bus or train, you should tone down your voice. You should be the only one hearing your voice.
- When you are in theaters or in public performances, be sure to turn off your mobile phone.
- When you are conversing on your cellphone, do not speak loudly, the phone has a sensitive
microphone. Consider the listening ear on the other end.
- When you are talking with someone physically, its best to take off your earpiece.

When you first bought your cellphone, you’d probably notice the dull display and wallpapers that it displays by default. The trend today is to customize everything from wallpapers, to screen savers.
Technology provides with these personal customizations. Custom wallpapers are simply images that you may download for free or for a fee. Or you can snap at using your built in camera. Configuration is very easy. Nokia even provides a very-user friendly interface to cater to the not-so-techie users. The formats of the wallpapers vary but is limited to jpeg, bmp, gifs and sometimes png. There are a few ways of connecting your mobile device to the pc to be able to transfer that favorite shot of Nicole Kidman unto your cellphone. One way is through data cable, others use bluetooth inter connectivity, in earlier days, infrared was the in mode of transferring files. It takes time to get used to connecting the device. you may encounter connection problems, but once you get the hang of it. there’s not much going to be a problem, would it?
